My Story
The diagnosis that changed everything.
After years of debilitating joint pain, excessive bleeding caused by fibroids, and chronic insomnia, I was a pain-riddled, debilitated shadow of my former self. I felt horrible all the time.
But I was a successful education executive who constantly pushed past the pain to the next project. I didn’t take vacations; I took sick days when my symptoms reached levels I couldn’t push past.
My gynecologist referred me to a rheumatologist and a hematologist. My white blood cell counts were chronically high, I was severely anemic, and the pain in my joints was intolerable. Getting out of bed each morning was a multi-step process, and there were days when I needed help just to stand.
After several tests, I got a call to schedule a consult with the rheumatologist to review the results. What I heard hit me hard: “Without immediate changes, you have six to eight years before your organs begin to fail.” I was in complete shock. I remember sitting in my car and crying long and hard.
My pity party was short. I had a child who needed me, a family. This couldn’t be happening to me. But the reality was that the inflammation in my body was killing me slowly and painfully. I decided then and there that I wanted to live. I wanted to see my daughter have a life where I was present to love her, support her, protect her, and guide her. I wanted the pain to stop. I wanted to build a life where ill health was not the center of my attention. I wanted a second chance to get this right — and I decided to apply the same stubborn determination to succeed that I’d willingly weaponized in the pursuit of my education and career. I didn’t know anything about inflammation, but I was determined to change that.
Today’s Mind & Body was born from that moment — and from the belief that no woman should have to hit a wall that hard before she gets real answers.
The Transformation
My story, in two different chapters. My decision to reboot my health wasn’t about appearance — healing was the difference between surviving my life and being fully present for it.

My Background
I hold a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a master’s degree in Counseling, and since my diagnosis, I have dedicated myself to optimizing my health and supporting other women as a Health and Wellness Coach. I have spent more than 20 years coaching executives and high-achieving women through their most complex professional challenges — dysfunction, stagnation, strategic planning, zero-based budgeting, toxic climate, and the quiet exhaustion that comes from leading without support.
What I found, again and again, was that the biggest barrier to great leadership wasn’t skill or strategy. It was an overall exhaustion rooted in Neglected Health. Mental, physical, and emotional health neglect. The kind of exhaustion that goes bone-deep and doesn’t respond to another longer weekend or a longer vacation. My work at Today’s Mind & Body brings those two worlds together: leadership development and women’s health.
What I Believe
Your body and your leadership are connected.
You can’t lead well when you’re running on chronic depletion. When your health suffers, so does your judgment, your presence, and your impact.
Women deserve real answers.
For too long, women’s symptoms have been minimized, misdiagnosed, or dismissed. Every woman deserves access to information that actually explains what’s happening in her body.
Knowledge changes everything.
When you understand what’s happening in your body — your hormones, your inflammation, your nervous system — you stop guessing and start making powerful, informed choices.
Lived experience is a credential.
I don’t just study these topics. I’ve lived them. That’s not a limitation — it’s exactly why women trust what I share.
Let’s Connect
Whether you’re navigating a health challenge, working through a leadership transition, or looking for a community that sees all of you — I’d love to hear from you.
